How to create a new Hetzner account

If you’re ready to go for shared hosting, there are four shared hosting plans to choose from: Basic, Standard, Premium, and Master, all of which offer unlimited data and 5GB to 20GB of SSD storage.

Step 2: Create an account

After clicking Register Now , you will take email marketing service enter the account creation process. The first step is to enter your personal information, such as name, email address, password, etc.

Amazingly, that’s all you need to create an account. The next step is to log in to your dashboard and confirm your completion.

Step 4: Verify your identity

take email marketing service

When I tried to log into my new account, I was asked to provide a copy of my passport and proof of address (I’m not sure if this is required for everyone). This was a bit cumbersome, but I took a photo of the document and emailed it to support. I received a response in less than ten minutes, and they approved my application and my account was activated.

Step 5: Log in to the admin panel

After your account is verified, you can log in directly to your dashboard.

Step 6: Purchase a hosting

Next, you can purchase a hosting plan. Here you will see a relatively long sign-up form. The first part is to choose your hosting plan (again). I chose the Basic plan for testing.

Step 7: Choose a domain name

In this step, you can choose to register a new domain, transfer your domain, or purchase hosting only. If you want to use a domain with another registrar, choose hosting only (which is what I chose).

Step 8: Select payment method

The next step is to make a payment, but this is a bit overly complicated. You will see the options of Debit Order and Bill of Charge (Cash Based). Although these two terms are common terms in South Africa, I found them a bit confusing. Basically, if you are a South African customer, you can choose to pay by direct debit; if you are an international customer, you can choose to pay the bill of charge by credit card

Step 9: Confirm the order and wait

Click Place Order to confirm your order. It takes about three minutes to set up your account, and you’ll receive an email understanding a weber analytics – your guide to an email strategy for 2024 notification when it’s done. After that, you can log into your dashboard and start setting up your website.

Step 10: Pay for the hosting

If you’ve been following this long and boring sign-up process, you might realize that I haven’t paid yet. I did receive an email at step nine saying I would receive a bill within 24 hours.

I waited 24 hours, then waited some more.

During this time, I set up a WordPress site and associated the domain (I had a fully functional website) so I could continue testing the account.

When I got tired of waiting, I filed a support ticket and asked how to pay. They again suggested that I wait for the paid list. Finally, about 48 hours after creating the account, I received the paid list in the email. I immediately paid with a credit card.

The entire process took two days, ten steps, and two follow-up emails, but in the end the account was created.

Functional but outdated interface

In my experience, this isn’t the ws data smoothest or fastest account creation process. Account verification is a bit cumbersome and the UI is dated, but it’s generally usable and meets the requirements, even for beginners.
